GSPGuideGear.com started in a farmhouse on Newell Hill — with a family (Corey, Emily, Silas & Maren), a hardworking pointer named Olive, and a litter of nine puppies who changed everything.

We’re here to help you choose gear that keeps your dog safe, confident, and ready for adventure.

Our family lives at the top of Newell Hill in upstate New York, where spring sunshine hits the sugar maples first and the dogs wake up before sunrise.

This adventure started with Olive — our hardworking German Shorthaired Pointer — and her first litter of nine pups. We spent weeks caring for them, cleaning up tiny messes, playing outside, and watching their personalities bloom.

We learned which gear kept them safe.
Which equipment held up.
Which brands to trust and which ones to avoid.

This website exists because GSPs aren’t “pets.”
They’re partners.

Some of the gear on this site is equipment I use personally with my German Shorthaired Pointers.
